The aim of the Loss Prevention Certification Board is to promote excellence and innovation in the built environment through the provision of assurance that products, systems, processes, services and personnel meet specified standards. Approval means confirmation by an expert third party that products and systems meet and continue to meet the appropriate standards.
The LPCB is widely acknowledged to be a leading international certification and approvals body in fire protection and security with experience dating back 130 years. LPCB approvals are recognised by governments and regulatory authorities around the world. These approvals integrate product testing with international quality management certification to ISO 9001:2000, the quality systems standard.
